Patrick Wolff is a San Francisco-based saxophonist, educator, and radio host. Originally from New York, Wolff studied with Frank Foster, Barry Harris, Ralph Lalama, George Garzone, and attended New York University. He has led bands in the jazz idiom for 12 years, released 4 albums as a leader, has worked as a sideman with some of the greats of the jazz world (Marcus Shelby, Adam Shulman, Shane Endsley, Matt Wilson, Tootie Heath, Dena DeRose, Faye Carol, and many others) and across a wide range of styles, currently including a collaboration with Mexican indie-folk singer Diana Gameros and soul powerhouse OTIS. In addition to regular performances in SF, Los Angeles, and New York, Wolff has been on the faculty at the Stanford Jazz Workshop for 16 consecutive years and teaches at the College of San Mateo. He hosts a weekly show on KCSM 91.1 FM (“Have You Heard) exploring the work of emerging and underrated jazz artists.
