Black Cat Incubator
On the corner of Leavenworth and Eddy in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood, creation is always on full tilt! Downstairs on the Black Cat stage guests bear witness to musical combustion. This intimate, inclusive venue is the site of genius incubation, where artists come and settle in for residencies allowing them to stretch out in an environment that fosters freedom, expansion and creativity.
To support and expand on these artistic and career fueling experiences we have formed the 501c3 nonprofit, Black Cat Jazz Incubator. Through the Jazz Incubator we continue our deep commitment to the Tenderloin and broaden the scope and community impact of our all-important artist residency programs!

Incubator programming provides direct support to the artist residency programs by giving young up-and-coming artists from around the world the time and space to experiment, create, and perform.

The Black Cat Jazz Incubator is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Tax ID 83-4628912
Our Incubator program is an investment into what can happen onstage as well as offstage.
