BABY THUMP

In the beginning….there was THUMP.  Or more accurately, LA-based quintet Thumpasauras.  Springing to life from USCs conservatory, this groups has developed an eclectic, homemade aesthetic unlike anything else this side of the Milky Way.  With a homebase at USCs underground performance venue YONI — where they have opened for cult acts like KNOWER and Vulfpeck, Thump as honed the ability to get people dancing.   Their analog, classic rhythm-section setup recalls 70s funk acts, but the vibes are pure 2017, somewhat influenced by LA’s EDM scene.  Black Cat will Thump and shake tonight.
